What we'll be teaching: Basic fundamentals of umpiring. Starting the game. Running the clicker. Giving the count. Calling/Balls and Strikes, Outs/Safes, Fair/Foul, and Catch/No Catch. Getting your mask off. Positioning behind the plate. Play specific positioning.

The Minnesota Youth Athletic Services prides itself on having the best youth athletic programs in the nation. We will always strive to improve our events and do what it takes to ensure a great experience for our participants. Our umpires play a big role in meeting these goals. It is very important that our game officials look good, show up ahead of time and umpire the game to the best of their ability. What follows is a list of guidelines and expectations for our umpires in all league and tournament games.
